For those of you who are not familiar with our organization, Mir`Ra IMAGE™ is a non profit charitable organization that provides mentorship with the support of influential women and men in music, sports, art, go green corporate companies and entrepreneurs. We provide the transformational tools for students, teens and young adults with  abusive backgrounds, teen pregnancy, drugs and alcohol. At Mir`Ra IMAGE™ people learn to channel their vision through creative expressions in design, fashion, art or entertainment which otherwise would not have happen if not given the opportunity.   Your support can assist to make this happen.

    March 2010,  64 million dollar budget cut in Arizona took away after-school programs, public transportation and city recreation facilities.   These cuts would have virtually no impact on the upper middle class or the wealthy, but would have a tremendous impact everywhere else.

    
As of January 2010, the Laveen C.A.R.E.  (Community advocacy, resource, and Educate) coalition sponsored by Southwest Behavior Health Services to prevent under-age drinking has been eliminated.

     August 2009, Mir`Ra IMAGE™ was named a resource for the youth and young adults by Southwest Behavioral Health Services in Phoenix, Arizona, (Community Youth Development Program), and students from the Laveen C.A.R.E. Coalition. 

    June 2009, Arizona Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network, evaluated Mir`Ra IMAGE™ as an asset headquartered in Arizona having a significant impact on young adults, the economy and workforce.  “Students who participate in the program’s entrepreneur mentoring services will benefit the most. They will have a place in-between schools and the real world getting hands on experience and having a more confident attitude about their future”. Susan Lentz, (SBDC), selected by The White House as one of 450 Top Women Business Leaders and winner of the Maricopa Community Colleges Distinguished Woman Award in 2008.

 

  Arizona Statewide Substance Abuse Data Review indicates that alcohol use within the past 30 days of June 2009 for youth in Laveen is higher than the States average. According to the City of Phoenix South Mountain Precinct Crime Data and the Laveen Coalition. Students as young as 2nd graders are being long - term suspended from schools for attending intoxicated.
